Our standards
We write calculator guides to explain scope, cost drivers, common exclusions, and planning assumptions. We avoid presenting estimates as exact quotes because real project costs require local inspection and contractor scope.
Advertising
BeforeQuote may display advertising after approval by an ad network. Ads are kept separate from calculator controls and editorial content. We do not ask users to click ads or disguise ads as calculator results.
Updates
Cost assumptions should be reviewed periodically as material prices, labor availability, and code requirements change. When a calculator is materially changed, the formula and guide should remain consistent.
